A Dish Served Cold is a story mission in Far Cry 5. It takes place in Jacob Seed's region of Whitetail Mountains. This mission unlocks after liberating the Baron Lumber Mill. Talk to Jess Black to start it.

Walkthrough[]
Dutch's niece Jess appreciates the save after the Deputy liberates the Baron Lumber Mill, but asks the Deputy's help in aiding her in her mission of killing "The Cook", a cultist VIP. He's called the Cook because he burns his victims alive. Follow Jess as she explains how Jacob took over the region. Kill cultists as you follow Jess through the woods to a camp. The cultists are holding hostages and will start killing them once The Junior Deputy is spotted, so try to quietly take out the ones wandering on the edges of the camp first. A bow or a gun with a silencer are the best options.
Release the hostages. They will tell the player that more hostages were taken farther up the hill. Follow Jess and reach the vantage point. This overlooks another camp with more hostages. Again, try to take them quietly. As long as one survives, the mission won't fail. As soon as the hostages are safe, follow Jess again. She won't wait and just takes off running so follow her waypoint. This time players will be taken to the camp the Cook is in.
This time there is a helicopter overhead and it will be a little harder to be stealthy. Get in, kill the Cook, take out the chopper, and secure the area. Jess thanks the Deputy for helping her kill the Cook despite not feeling any satisfaction in seeing his demise. Jess will join the roster as a Gun for Hire.
