A Glimmer of Hope is a story mission in Far Cry 5. It takes place in the neutral territory of Dutch's Island.

Plot[]
Awakening after their disastrous escape attempt from Eden's Gate, the Deputy finds themselves restrained inside an underground bunker, where the owner, Dutch laments on whether or not to turn over his captive to the cult. He ultimately decides to put faith in their ability to overcome Joseph Seed's twisted Project and liberate Hope County, and sets them free.
Acknowledging that continuing to wear the uniform of a Sheriff's Deputy would be a walking target on their back, the Deputy makes a change of clothes to better blend in with the locals. They then meet with Dutch once again as he informs them about the situation: the Deputy's allies are still alive, and separately in the hands of a member of the Seed family each. Dutch then elaborates his plan for them to create a resistance movement against Eden's Gate, with the first step being to liberate the island the bunker is situated on.
