Blow Their Mine is a Story mission in Far Cry 5.
Objectives[]
- REACH the Catamount Mines
- RIG the 4 gold crates with explosives
- PREVENT the cultists from defusing the bombs
- REACH the safe spot
Plot[]
Still reeling from the aftermath of their mission to stop the cult's acts of animal cruelty, Zip Kupka is revisited by the Deputy, where he claims that, though his grief is great, he wants to push harder against the cult's government sponsorship by striking at the source of their "finances", the volume of gold bullion being extracted from the Catamount Mines. Rather, he elects the Deputy to do it and formally retires from the action scene, again.
Going to the once-empty depot, the Deputy eliminates the Peggies already stationed there to collect and distribute the gold supply, and attaches explosives to four of the on-site supply crates. Unfortunately, Eden's Gate figures out their intentions and sends waves of reinforcements to intercept and defuse the bombs before their plans there are ruined.
Even against odds stacked this high, the Deputy comes out on top, though Zip, his tin-foil on too tight, decides to go ahead and start the countdown, forcing them to make a run for it just before the mine is erased from the face of the globalists' schemes. The crazed anarchist praises the downfall of the government's plans, though the Deputy knows full well the Father is just as, if not more dangerous than the Big Brother.
Tips & Tricks[]
- Because the bombs are placed relatively far away from each other, being quick on your feet and constantly running between them is a smart tactic. Be warned, though; enemies won't disarm them one at a time or in a consistent order, so doubling back and/or doubling up are factors here.
- For when the helicopter shows up, having the service of either Hurk or an RPG Fighter is useful for eliminating the threat immediately, though Hurk's the better choice due to his rockets' homing ability.
- Rye will bug out if you choose him as a companion, saying things are getting too hot, so don't choose him for this mission.
