In-Game Description

Breakout is a Story Mission in Far Cry New Dawn. You receive it once you and Carmina Rye safely reached Prosperity from Kim Rye. It takes mostly place in Blacklung Mine. Find and rescue Thomas Rush from the Highwaymen.

Objectives[]

REACH the coal mine
FIND a way to enter the building (Coal Mine Key)
ENTER the building and SEARCH for Rush
REACH Rush's position
ENTER the turret seat
DEFEND Rush
ESCORT Rush to Prosperity

Walktrough[]

Upon arriving in Prosperity, Kim Rye tells you where to look for Rush. When you feel ready, go to the mine. If you're approaching from the west or east you have an elevated position. Kill or avoid all hostiles and get the Coal Mine Key from a table between the main buildings. Use it open the southern buildings backdoor, where a ladder leads you into the tunnels. Highwaymen will attack you on sight, so kill them as there is no way to avoid them. Once you reach the end of the tunnel, a voice threatens Rush with kneecapping. Climb the ladder and a cutscene plays.
Rush kills his captor and is overjoyed to see you again. He enters a makeshift bike with an added turret. Enter the turret and shoot any attackers while Rush drives to the west. After a few minutes his leg will hurt too much to drive on, so you take the wheel and escort Rush to Prosperity. On the way he comments on how people attacked Highwaymen positions with bows and stoneage weapons.
Upon reaching Prosperity the Inhabitants greet you with cheers. Together with Carmina and Kim you will adjust his leg socket and the mission ends with Thomas Rush joining Prosperity.
