The Mastodon Geothermal Park was used by local survivors to overcome the nuclear winter after the Collapse. They used the waters heat to substitute the missing solar warmth. The Highwaymen built some kind of plant which reaches into the water. Sharky Boshaw wrested it from them to built a home for himself and Blade Drubman. Hurk was also asked to stay there, but he can't stand the smell of sulfur.
Right now Sharky prepares for the imminent arrival of Highwaymen. He wants to move out, but can't just leave Blade alone. After fending off the Highwaymen, they leave for Prosperity.
