Jorge "El Tigre" Aguilar is a character featured in Far Cry 6.

Biography[]

El Tigre is the leader of the Legends of 67,[1] a band of ex-revolutionaries from the Revolution of 1967.[2]

El Tigre and the Legends rallied around the communist professor Santos Espinosa to overthrow Gabriel Castillo, the president of Yara. Tigre loved the conflict and gained a reputation in the Revolution of 1967 as the "Fist of the Revolution." Towards the end of the Revolution, fellow Legend Lobo confided to El Tigre that he planned to assassinate Espinosa in the chaos from the upcoming Siege of Esperanza because he believed that Espinosa would simply become another dictator. He would then assume command of the revolutionaries to install himself as the new leader of Yara but would kill the other Legends: Lucky Mama and Lorenzo Canseco. El Tigre then killed Lobo, an act he would never forgive himself for. Lobo was mistakenly made a martyr by an ignorant Espinosa while El Tigre would sink into despair and disillusionment from the new President's lack of progress, as Lobo was proven right when Santos turned out to be corrupt and incompetent, leaving the country in shambles. El Tigre would annually honor the death of his friends, but before he recovered from addictions and regained his strength as seen in 21st century, for a while Lobo was ironically mourned by El Tigre through alcohol and cocaine-driven benders.

In 21st century, after Antón Castillo took power and seeking revenge against those who overthrown his father Gabriel, El Tigre remains in Patriotas Peak with his Legends but eagerly offers assistance to Libertad against Antón Castillo. He forms a close relationship with Dani Rojas who he affectionally nicknames "Bebé Tigre" and notes the similarities with their roles in their respective revolutions. Dani helps El Tigre stirs Lorenzo to side with Libertad but needs to convince Lucky Mama. El Tigre enthusiastically sides with La Moral to defeat Admiral Aña Benítez.

El Tigre leads the charge on Benítez's island while Dani infiltrates her stronghold and kills her. Tigre, the Legends, and La Moral celebrate this new victory as they plot to take the fight to Sean McKay next. As they plan at La Moral's new base, the Fuerzas Nacionales de Defensa arrive under McKay's command and unleash the chemical weapon PG-240X. El Tigre fights bravely but dies when his brain melts from the gas's deadly effects. His body is recovered and he is given a proper burial, along with Jonrón. While El Tigre did die, his death prompted Lucky Mama to ally with Libertad and La Moral which left no uncertainty where the allegiance of the rest of the Legends of 67 remained.

If Dani takes the boat to leave Yara and live in the US, it's unknown what would happen to El Tigre and whether he (along with other Legends of 67) would attempt to rescue the Imprisoned tank soldier or not.

Personality[]

El Tigre is a fighter for true justice in spite of his circumstances. He was a valiant and brave man who was well versed in guerrilla warfare. El Tigre would throw his lot in with anyone to achieve his goals whether they be young or old. He was ignorant due to his original communist beliefs but did overcome this blindness to the truth upon seeing the type of man Santos Espinosa became as El Presidente. Despite this disillusionment, El Tigre was still very nostalgic towards the Revolution of 67 and often reminisced on his various battles throughout the war and his title of the Fist of the Revolution. El Tigre also loved his friends and experienced deep sorrow over killing of Lobo in spite of his betrayal. He was addicted to alcohol and cocaine as a result of this regret, until he recovered from addictions and regained his strength as seen in 21st century.
