« These guys set a new bar in lethality - come on. Shotguns, Snipers and Frags? Most annoying snipers ever, worse than the mercs from Kyrat. »

FND Special Forces Snipers are cunning and stealthy. Many have been trained in guerrilla warfare and are skilled at sabotage and demolition. They train amongst themselves and rank each kill based on difficulty.

They are the combination of 2 types: snipers and berserkers, they fight at long distance as snipers, but unlike normal FND Snipers who flee upon being approached too close, Special Forces Snipers DO SWITCH TO the sawn off version of 1887 shotgun for close quarter combat just like FND Vanguards and FND Engineers. Strangely enough, like all FND members, they use the unobtainable 20 round variant of 6P13 pistol while on horses and other vehicles instead of their more powerful sawn off shotgun, unlike snipers of previous games who consistently used their secondary submachine guns as sidearms.

They are similar to a type of Highwaymen Enforcers in Far Cry New Dawn who also used a combination of shotguns and sniper rifles.

One known FND Special Forces Sniper is Captain Lecuona who fight in the FND last stand defending Yara capital city Esperanza.

If Castillo regime falls, the remnants of FND refuse to surrender, they often form insurgencies and seizing back control of certain unstable areas. One famous Special Forces Sniper is the insurgent leader Perseus Pérez.

They supposedly served under the command of air force general José Castillo back when he was alive, as their armbands have the emblem of the Fuerzas de Defensa Aereas.

Strategic Data

  • FND Special Forces that use long  and short range weapons.

Trivia[]

  • Strangely enough, FND Vanguard and Special Forces Sniper both refuse to use their sawn off shotguns when on horses and other vehicles, switching to far weaker pistols instead. FND Pistolero likewise also refuse to use their Skorpion when on horses and other vehicles, switching to the far weaker Mark IV revolver for some strange reason.
  • Their skill are somewhere between Royal Guard Snipers and Royal Guard Hunters. Only things is they are less stealthy than Royal Guard Hunter.
  • Their appearances are nearly identical to Royal Guard Hunter with their armor and their hooded mask.
  • In early design, they and FND Snipers got SVD before being changed to the fictional Yaran SR-A, likely based on the Alejandro sniper rifle of Cuban military in real life.
