Far Cry New Dawn has its own unique story, which is driven by a set of Story Missions. To fully immerse the player into post-apocalyptic Hope County, there are also several Side Missions of different types and plenty of Side activities.
Story missions[]
Of the 24 Story Missions, 5 are required to gain Specialists for Prosperity. See the Specialists-section below. Some of the Story missions are missable.

Guns For Hire[]
Main article: Guns for Hire Guns for Hire Missions are available from the beginning of the game. These companion characters will travel and fight with you.
- Timber and Horatio are technically called Fangs for Hire. Timber is the only Fang for Hire which can travel with you in a car.
- Technically not a Guns for Hire Mission, but Carmina Rye joins you upon completion of Find Hope
- Technically not a Guns for Hire Mission, but The Judge joins you upon completion of Joseph's Secret
