STORY MISSIONS[]

INTO THE LAND OF OROS[]

This chapter of the story is made out of 4 missions, we will discuss each one as well as how to pass it

The Prologue:[]

The first mission you and your pack of hunters are trying to hunt a mammoth for food, The mission starts with a cutscene with your group planning how to attack. First of all you must follow Dalso, your guide through this mission. walk slowly through the bushes until you reach the small mammoth, when the hunters shoot the fire arrows run through the middle to avoid getting damage, stay clear from your allies to avoid friendly fire. throw the spears at the mammoth and follow it, later you get attacked by Bloodfang Sabertooth and fall down into a pit. you must collect the resources in order to progress. once you crafted your bow now you must get meat, sneak up on the goats, use your hunter vision to help you spot them easier goats will usually raise their heads when you get close to them, headshots will save you time from having to run after them, once you got the necessary amount of meat eat all of it, you will need the stamina if you are playing on ESP or any other difficulty with survivor mode, once you finished that follow your objective marker to the cave. light the fire and craft your club, break the vines using the flaming club. you will encounter 3 wolfs on your way, its advised that you kill them to replenish your meat supply (incase you ate all of it in the beginning) you will also get wolf skin which will come in handy, use your club or bow to kill them follow the path through the cave until you reach Sayla, you will be attacked by the same saber tooth from the beginning, takkar will scare it away with fire and make his way through the narrow rocks with sayla as the beast cant follow them there. now the intro of primal is over and the next mission starts.

THE FIGHT FOR OROS BEGINS[]

Deep wounds:[]

Deep wounds is a very straight forward mission, Sayla is now wounded because of the saber tooth attack in the cave, you must collect green leaves, go down the hill into the river you will find 1 green leaf as well as another one next to an Udam, do a takedown and take the green leaves, after that cross to the other side of the river, you will also find a pair of Udam with green leaves around them. you can either kill them using takedowns or just collect the leaves and leave the area, on your way up the hill you will encounter Udam patrol so its better to take the other path from the left side or face them on. return to the cave and interact with Sayla to complete the mission.

Vision of beasts:[]

You will have to head over to Tensay cave to begin this mission to get Tensay to your village as well as the owl, on your way to Tensay location there is a bonfire with no enemies, light the bonfire using club or arrow, after that keep going down, you might encounter some Udam on the way especially ones skinning a wolf that are just before the bridge connecting two areas, there aren’t many animals around so you can proceed with caution, there are also some Udam on the other side of Tensay cave so be careful not to be spotted, after you meet Tensay you will have to do the vision of beasts, this quest is very simple and doesn’t require guidance. all you have to do is follow the owl. once the mission is completed you will get the owl which acts like a spotting device similar to binoculars, Afterwards you will have to tame the white wolf. Head over to the Beast master quest location and start the mission, you must kill 3 Udam hunters that are sitting next to each other. scout their location using your owl then you can either kill them using melee combat or stealth, then craft your bait and restock on meat from the dead animals in the camp, you can also pickup meat from the ground as well as dead bodies, get over to the location and throw your bait to lure the white wolf, you just have to tame it when the icon of a white hand shows up on top of it. then you will have to kill two Udam over at the other side to complete the mission, after you kill them the quest ends. return to the village to get the next missions.

Note: In order to begin the next story missions you have to upgrade Tensay's and Sayla's hut, You need alder wood, slate, reeds and deer skin for Sayla's hut, as for Tensay it requires the same resources except instead of deer skin you need Wolf skin, Wolf skin could be easily acquired in the first mission as mentioned above, however if you didn't kill the wolves you can just look for them around Oros, a quick way to finding wolves is to go out at night, make sure you have a club with fire on it to overpower the wolves.

Attack of the Udam:[]

After building the huts, you should get an objective marker inside the cave, head there to start a cutscene with Sayla. you are given a level 2 club and forced to sleep, next day the Udam notice the high Wenja activity in the area, and Ull, the leader of the Udam himself goes with his warriors to attack your village. after you try to attack him he throws you on the ground and the fight for the village begins, First of all a wave of archers and warriors will charge through the river side of the village, stop them from destroying the fortifications, send your beast at them and shoot the archers from a distance, don't stand still while shooting archers and Spearmen as their accuracy is incredibly good when you are standing still, try to move to the right and the left, after you finish this wave head back to the village, you must protect the cave entrance to the village, simply shoot the enemies trying to breach the barrier and command your beast to attack them, towards the end of the missions, scourges who throw berserk bombs will appear, they throw bombs which cause damage through poison, shoot them from a distance and dodge their bomb attacks, after defending the village successfully you must go attack the Udam camp nearby. The camp is made of few archers and chargers as well as an elite charger, you can approach this with different tactics, you can either attack them with your beast or use stealth. Try to sneak up on the enemies in the camp from different directions, note that destroying all bone tree's without alerting anyone cancels out the enemy waves. so its easier to get rid of the bone tree's stealthily than using combat, if you upgraded your hut and got the sting bombs they can help you a lot to wipe out enemies easily. After the enemies in the camp are dealt with you will have to destroy the bone tree's if you haven't done that already, its recommended to go above the cliff, you will find spears there. when you destroy all of them Some Udam will come to counter-attack, Use your spears as well as the ones on top of the rocks, you can also use your beast to aid you. Some Wenja will also join the fight, once the mission is completed you will be sent back to the village.

The first chapter of the story is over, now the fight for Oros begins

THE EMBERS OF WAR IGNITE[]

This chapter consists of 3 missions, its slightly harder than the first few missions but can be easily completed by using the right tactics.

Vision of Ice:[]

To start this mission head over to Tensay's hut, He will make a potion for you to drink to reveal the secrets of the Udam. First walk up to Ull and interact with the Stone women, then you will be given an ice club as well as 6 health bars, permadeath is disabled in this mission. Now you must make your way through to reach the stone women, you will encounter all the enemies in the Attack of the Udam as well as a new enemy called Chieftains. You can throw your club in this mission, this is a very helpful perk against archers and warriors charging at you, to kill the Chieftains quickly you can charge at them with the club by holding down on the Trigger button (R2 on PS4, Left click on PC, RT on XBOX) or throw your club at them to stun them. Make your way through the enemies and try to approach the stone women as fast as possible since that will make the previous enemies disappear and the stone women will move deeper inside the cave system, after some time the stone women will shoot shockwaves of ice at you that deal a lot of damage, dodge the shockwaves or hide behind cover. At the end you will reach a large cave where you must defeat groups of enemies, use the tactics provided above, there will be total of 3 waves as well as archers on top of ice rocks, after you killed all of them destroy the Stone women by throwing the club or hitting it with it, the quest is now over and you get a marker on the map for Big Darwa fort where you must confront the commander Dah, to reveal the secret of the Udam rot bane.

The Bone Cave:[]

To get this mission in your map head over to Sayla’s hut and talk to her, she will tell you about a Wenja hunter that went missing while looking for food for the village. You will need to head north. The northern region of the map is a freezing cold environment with many predators and Udam. I recommend you go over to Karoosh and get him to join your village to unlock winter clothes. You can also light your club on fire to provide you with some heat. Once you've reached the quest location, track the footsteps of the missing Wenja using your hunter vision. It will lead you to a cave, and once inside you will find 2 cave lions. This is a pretty dangerous mission. A good way to kill them is by either using your flaming club and hitting them with it or using your beast. Throw bait to lure one in. If you haven’t tamed one of these yet it's recommended you do so as they're pretty powerful, but only after killing the other ones so you don't get attacked while taming them. After the cave lions are dead head to the left side of the cave, where you'll find the Wenja hunter hiding between two rocks. He will ask you to give him some green leaves to heal his wounds. Before you do that, it's important you set up the area for the incoming threat: a cave lion as well as a Saber-tooth. They will come out only when you give the hunter the leaves If you have traps I recommend you lay them next to the cliff hanging out from the rocks, you should see it if you turn right from the spot of the injured Wenja. If you don’t have any traps give the leaves to the Wenja then get on top of the cliff, use bait to lure in both beasts and kill them with long range weapons. If you want to tame the saber-tooth you need to have the apex predator taming skill from Tensay. If you are playing on survivor you have to deal damage to the beast. Simply plant traps and throw bait at the location or just use spears and arrows, then throw bait again. You can only tame the saber-tooth when a hand icon appears above their head, indicating you dealt enough damage to the beast. After taking care of it go back to the hunter, he will tell you that he will return to the village soon and thanks you for helping him. You may now exit the cave, ending the mission.

The Taken Wenja:[]

It's now time to deal with the Izila. You'll get a quest called The Taken Wenja, pointing you to Tensay's hut where you will find him treating a heavily burnt Wenja, a survivor who managed to escape from the bloodthirsty sun walkers. Unfortunately, Tensay cannot stop the Wenja's suffering and is forced to put him down. He asks you to head over to the Izila camp and free the remaining captured Wenja. The camp is over at Mash Baya Rocks. Once you reach the location swim throw the narrow river. You will see the Izila leader Batari confronting an Udam and a Wenja. They can't see you so feel free to watch the them. Afterwards, swim down under water until you reach the other side, climb up using the grappling hook, (you need to have Wogah in your camp in order to use the grappling hook), and take a look. The camp has total of 10-12 enemies. When you climb up you will see 4 watch towers as well as a hut above and an open space with a pit below. First of all, stay in the bushes and wait for the enemies in the hut to come out, take them down quietly then shoot the enemies on top of the watch towers using your bow. Head left to the other side of the camp, there will also be another two watch towers as well as a charger around and a spearman inside the small tunnel that connects the upper section of the camp with the lower one. There is also a chieftain but you don’t have to worry about him. Once everyone is taken care of and the Wenja are rescued, you'll be told to light the camp on fire. Use the campfires and other fire sources to light your arrows without having to use animal fat, You must burn the pit as well as the watch towers, the hut and other fortifications strewn around. Some enemies will appear but you can easily kill them from the high ground. Use sting bombs against the chieftain. Once the camp is completely burned you can leave the area, but an Izila warrior will get the jump on you and knock you out. You are then dragged to the same pit and confronted by the Izila leader Batari. She offers you forgiveness for your acts in return for serving her, but Takkar, ever the hero, refuses. You are then thrown into the pit. Turn around and swim down until you reach the other side, keep swimming to come back where you came from. After that, the mission will be completed and you will be forced back to your village.

THE DEATH OF Ull[]

This is the chapter which sets up the end game, you will face a considerably harder challenge here but it can be easily completed with the right weapons and skills.

Vision of fire:[]

To begin this quest head over to Tensay's hut, he will talk to you about the Izila and gives you a potion to drink and reveal their secrets. Takkar will spawn in a place with ash and fire, keep walking forward until you reach the group of Izila with Batari and mask of Krati, interact with the mask to begin the quest, this mission is similar to vision of ice in terms of gameplay design, you will be given a bow that shoots fire arrows, you can charge up the bow by killing enemies, you will be rewarded with triple arrows to shoot for each charge up, first you must destroy the stones, head straight and kill Izila to charge up the bows and then shoot the stones, each stones takes about two shoots to destroy, also keep in mind that you can kill enemies by getting close to them, Takkar will have a burning effect on any enemy he makes physical contact with, once you destroyed the stones make your way through the Izila enemies, your objectives is to shoot the moon until its destroyed, it takes a bunch of shots to do it but its not that difficult, the game offers 6 health bars on this mission and permadeath is also disabled, once you wake up Tensay will ask you to steal the mask of Krati as its the only thing that the Izila fear.

Into Udam land:[]

You can add this quest to your map by talking with Sayla, it will trigger a cutscene where she tells you about the Udam poison and sends you over to their homeland to acquire rot bane. Next you will have to go to the objective area over at the north canyons, once you find the rot bane you will encounter Ull's Daughter sitting on the ice. then immediately Ull finds you and knocks you out, you will be imprisoned in a small pit where Ull and his children, the daughter and the little baby are all together, he then confronts you and tells you that he will feed you to the Udam and kill your tribe, an Izila poisoner is also present But Ull later kills him in the middle of the cutscene. After that you must escape the cave and find the exit to the Udam strong hold. Exit the cave by climbing above, get the grappling hook and use it on the rocks above to swing out of the pit then keep going until you reach the exit where you will see an Udam with your gear next to him, kill him and take your gear. After that you must leave the strong hold, you will have to go through 3 caves in total. The first cave has a pit in the middle with a bunch of Udam, to leave this cave you simply have to grapple on to the cieling and go to the left side close to a cliff, there will be an Udam ontop of that cliff and you can kill him to avoid detection before swinging. you could fight the Udam in the cave but it doesn't offer anything. Once you exit the first cave keep walking until you reach the second cave, once you are there keep going inside until you see a campfire surrounded by two Udam enemies, kill them and keep going straight until you reach a higher area with an Udam enemy, you can kill him and to the left there is a small entrance to the 3rd and final cave, note that there is another possible entrance to the second cave which is located to the right if you choose to climb the rocks at the cave entrance instead of taking the normal path, now its time for the third and final cave, if you alerted the enemies inside the second cave then the 3rd cave will also be alerted, this cave you will have to first eliminate the cave guardian then exit, the cave is made of a big pit in the middle with rocks and cliffs around it, you will see Udam cheering as the cave guardian is having an affair with an Udam women, you could simply rush the cave and kill the cave guardian using sting bombs, use berserk bombs to cause chaos or stealthily kill everyone using takedowns, combat also works if you have good weapons, once you killed the cave guardian you will have to exit the cave, keep walking until you see a bridge splitting the exit and the cave, you can get to the other side by grappling to the ceiling of the cave from the left side or simply be walking down the bridge, there will be around 2-4 enemies around the bridge as well as an enemy above where you need to leave the cave, climb up using the grappling hook and you can go on and loot the caches around then exit the cave, you will be sent back to your village and the quest ends.

Udam homeland(The hunt for Ull):[]

Time is up for the Udam, now its time to hit their homeland and defeat their leader Ull, to get to the Udam homeland you must go through Big Darwa Fort, its recommended you liberate it first but you can skip that, you will have to enter a small cave, make sure you have the antidote boost on you as the tunnel leading to the Udam homeland is filled with rot bane poison, once you made it to the other side you have to fight your way through some canyons, its best to bring a beast along and have upgraded weapons, once you made it to the other side you can liberate a bonfire that is right before the Udam leader cave, once you did that you can head over to Ull's cave, the cave is heavily guarded from the outside with the front entrance having enemy patrols, however you can enter from a secret hole in the mountain side, its located somewhere to the left of the main entrance, if you head over to the left side of the compound that protects the cave and come close to the mountain side, you will see an Udam spearman around there, kill him and sneak inside the small hole, grapple up and you should be inside, you can also just enter from the main entrance, once you are inside you will have to go through caves full of Udam soldiers and citizens, its best to just sneak through them, try to stick to cover and make your way through, remember your goal is to reach Ull and not liberate the area, you will eventually arrive at a big hall with a huge flat surface in the middle, there will be an enemy there as well as two enemies on each side of the cave, best route to take is to kill the enemies on either side, do a death from above on the enemy that is above the rock in front of you, throw a rock to the left side to distract the enemies at the end then make your way quickly, once you are done with this cave you just have to go through some Udam enemies, at the end you will reach the final area. Ull will be commanding and talking to some Udam archers, now begins the boss fight. Ull has some weak points and vulnerabilities, first shooting the icicles on the ceiling deal alot of damage, almost 1/4 of his health is reduced by it. after Ull gets stunned you can go to his back to perform a powerful takedown that also takes out about 1/4 of his health. The way to begin the boss fight is by shooting the icicle above him killing the soldiers around him and stunning him, if you don't do that then the enemies will go around the cave and take defensive positions, but after a while the alarm will sound and enemies will start coming in so its best to just begin the boss fight. Another helpful tip is to use fire bombs, traps and sting bombs as they deal considerable damage when used in big numbers, but of course we must consider the fact that Ull is not alone as his soldiers will spawn and attack, their is just 1 big wave you will have to defeat but it has a lot of enemies, mainly spearmen, archers and warriors, best strategy is to keep moving, run around the cave and use sting bombs as well as your weapons to kill the enemies, once they are done focus on Ull and use the weapons stated above along with the icicles to kill him, After Ull is defeated a cutscene will play, Ull will ask you for mercy as he goes to check on his little son and daughter, as he passes away he asks you to take care of them and the mission ends, you have defeated the Udam tribe, note that Udam will still spawn around the map and outposts will not be liberated once you defeat Ull.

BATARI TO ASHES[]

Mask of Krati:[]

To get this quest head over to Tensay's hut, he will tell you about the mask of Krati, then head over to the location down south, once you reached the area you can get inside the cave through a an opening with water, swim underwater until you arrive at the other side where you will be inside the cave housing the mask of Krati, Note that its better to dismiss your beast before you go inside incase you want to do this mission in stealth because the beast will alert enemies, there are around 12 enemies in the area, you will have to walk and climb around until you reach the cliff with the mask on it, carefully make your way through the narrow hallways with rocks, there aren't that many enemies and you can use stealth to take them all down, once you reach the cliff area its better to take a left and enter a small cave, when you cross through you will come around the other side flanking the Izila, then you can stealthily takedown everyone from behind, once you interact with the mask a cutscene will play, Batari will enter the cliff as she gets alerted about the absence of the mask, then Takkar will hang on the cliff while Batari is looking around for the mask, however if you choose to do this mission in a non-stealth fashion a different cutscene will play where Batari confronts Takkar but Takkar stabs her with an arrow and falls down the cliff, the outcome is the same however as you will have to make your way through the caves infested with Izila, there is a small glitch that can get you out of the cave which is by going to the left side of the cliff and jumping on the rocks, then grappling onto a small bridge, after that you can jump off the bridge and grapple to the high end of the cave, you can then climb up and exit the area without having to go through the caves, however if you choose to do this mission normally you will have to go through the caves, there are about 5-6 Izila in each cave, soldiers such as spearmen, archers and chieftains, but its not that difficult to get past them as you can overpower them by using bombs or stealthily making your way through the caves, just remember the area is narrow and cramped so make sure you don't get stuck in an awkward position between enemies, once you made your way up and left the area you will be fast travelled back to the village, and now the final chapters of the game begin.

Izila homeland(The fall of Batari):[]

This is considered the final mission in the story, keep in mind that far cry primal considers specialist missions as story missions so if you really want to actually complete the game you must finish all the quests for all the specialists (Village missions don't count), to begin this quest head down south near Fire screamer Fort, you don't need to liberate the fort in order to start this quest and you don't need to pass through it, instead take the right side that leads up the hill, you MUST have the mammoth rider skill for this mission, you will find a mammoth that always spawns in the small narrow way, after you get on it you need to ram through the gates leading to the Izila homeland, there is a considerable amount of enemies behind the gate but you don't have to worry a lot as your mammoth can take care of it easily. once that is taken care of now you need to liberate Wenja all over the region so they can join you with the assault on Batari's temple, there are 3 locations in total to free the Wenja from, there is also a bonfire but its not required for the mission, each locations has a set of enemies from archers, spearmen and chieftains, its best to scout the locations and free the Wenja, you don't have to clear the area the main objective is just to free the Wenja. keep in mind that the Wenja must leave the area or otherwise you cant move away to the other locations. If a Wenja dies the mission fails, after you free all the Wenja head over to the temple of batari, keep an eye out for Izila around the regions as well as strong predators, once you reach the temple you will meet the Wenja. Talk to them and they will tell you that they will help to lower down the enormous rock to create a bridge between the mountain side and the temple entrance, break the ropes and head over to the edge of the mountain area to protect Wenja while they push the wood column's to lower the rock. some Izila on the other sides like archers and spearmen while spawn and try to stop you, you can easily defeat them by using bombs or returning fire with bows, once the rock has been dropped you can now enter the temple, as soon as you step on the other side Takkar will put on the Mask of Krati, All of the Izila will immediately start to flee in fear including the soldiers so you don't have to fight anyone at this point, make your way through until you enter the cave and get to the door leading to the Altar of Suxli, once you get to the door a cutscene will play where Batari gets the jump on Takkar and attacks him, breaking Krati in the process. She does not fear Krati as she knows its just her son's old mask, When Batari and Takkar face off as solar eclipse takes place which Batari considers to be a bad sign, now the boss fight begins, your objective is to kill Batari, its recommended to have fully upgraded spears as they deal about 1/5 damage to her. After every 1-2 fully upgraded spear throws enemies will spawn around the area to attack Takkar, each wave has almost the same amount of enemies but you must be cautious with chieftains and other elite enemies. Continue with this process until Batari health is less than 1/5 where she will come down from the rock platform and fight Takkar. The easiest way to defeat her is to just use fully upgraded spears. Once Batari is defeated a cutscene will play, Takkar will grab Batari by the throat as she begs Suxli to help her, eventually Takkar burns her in the Altar of Suxli and the Izila are finally defeated, you will be sent back to your village where you will encounter Tensay and other Wenja that are delighted with the news of the death of the sun daughter. Tensay will celebrate with Takkar by drinking and the mission ends, Takkar wakes up away from the village and the mission ends.

Credits and Ending[]

If you completed all the specialists quest you will have a marker pointing towards the middle part of the village, once you reach there a cutscene will automatically play where The Wenja celebrate their victory and declare Oros to be conquered by them, if you are on ESP (Expert Survivor Permadeath) you will get a small video from the dev team of Far cry primal congratulating you on completing the mode, then the credits will play and the game ends.
