Far Cry Primal boasts many primitive weapons to ease your way through the game’s combat mechanics.

Clubs[]

There are two types of clubs, each will change models after each upgrade.

One-Handed Club[]

Crafting requirements[]

  • x2 Hardwood
  • x2 Flint
  • x1 Animal Hide

Stats[]

The fully-upgraded Club's stats are:

Current[]
  • Damage 17
  • Durability 18
  • Agility 18
Special: Swing to hit multiple enemies, stun enemies when thrown.[]
Pros[]
  • Able to preform Takedowns.
  • Hold attack button to cause more powerful hits.
  • One powerful hit kills all Udam and Izila warriors, as well as civilians.
  • Can be used at a torch.
  • Hold attack while on fire, and it will scare most predators.
  • Can set fire on any ground AI while holding attack against them.
  • Able to be lit through 1 night.
Cons[]
  • Not able to preform Takedowns on Chieftains.
  • Does not do much damage to Chieftains or animals like Tall Elk, Mammoths and Rhinos.
  • Holding attack while lit too close to an enemy AI will also set the player on fire.
  • Extinguishers in water.
  • If burning too long, it will be destroyed.
  • Using it too much causes it to break.
  • Throwing the clubs also break them over time.

Two-Handed Club[]

Crafting requirements[]

  • x1 Animal Hide

The fully-upgraded Two-Handed Club's stats are:

  • Damage 9

  • Agility 4
Special[]
  • Swing to hit multiple enemies, can kill enemies when thrown.
Pros[]
  • Able to preform Takedowns.
  • Hold aim button cause more powerful hits.
  • One powerful hit kills all Udam and Izila warriors and civilians.
  • Can be used at a torch.
  • Hold aim while on fire, will scare most predators.
  • Can set fire on any ground AI while holding aim against them.
  • Able to be lighted through 1 night.
  • Throwing these will not break them.
Cons[]
  • Not able to preform Takedowns on Chieftains.
  • Does not instantly kill Chieftains or animals like Tall Elk, Mammoths and Rhinos.
  • Holding aim too close to an enemy AI will also set the player on fire.
  • Blows out in water.
  • If burning too long, it will be destroyed.
  • Using it too much, causes it to break.
  • Slower swings and throws, cause it's heavier than the One-Handed Club.

Bows[]

There are three types of bows, each has its own special traits.

Bow[]

Stats[]

The fully-upgraded Bow's stats are:

  • Rate of fire 8
Pros[]
  • Faster reload and firing rate.
  • Kills Udam warriors, both Udam and Izila civilians instantly.
  • 1 head shot on smaller animals.
  • Fire arrows kills any human.
  • Any head shot on Udam and Izila warriors kills them instantly.
Cons[]
  • Izila Warriors need two arrows on their body to kill them.
  • Does not do much damage to Chieftains or animals like Tall Elk, Mammoths and Rhinos.
  • Fire arrows does not kill animals.

Long Bow[]

The fully-upgraded Long Bow's stats are:

Special[]
  • Increased air zoom and range for unmatched long range precision.
Pros[]
  • More powerfull firing.
  • Kills Udam and Izila warriors and civilians instantly.
  • 1 headshot on smaller animals.
  • Fire arrows kills any human.
  • Any headshot on Udam and Izila warriors kills them instantly.
Cons[]
  • Slower firing rate, makes it easier to miss an enemy.
  • Does not do much damage to Chieftains or animals like Tall Elk, Mammoths and Rhinos.
  • Fire arrows does not kill animals.

Double Bow[]

The fully-upgraded Double Bow's stats are:

Special[]
  • Loads and fires two arrows at once.
Pros[]
  • Fires two arrows makes it easier to kills regular Izila warriors.
  • Kills Udam warriors, both Udam and Izila civilians instantly.
  • 2 (two arrows fired) headshots on smaller animals.
  • Fire arrows kills almost any human.
  • Any headshot on Udam and Izila warriors kills them instantly.
  • Kills predators faster.
Cons[]
  • Does not do much damage to Chieftains or animals like Tall Elk, Mammoths and Rhinos.
  • Uses twice the ammo per shot.
  • Fire arrows does not kill animals.

Spear[]

There is only one type of spear, but it changes models after each upgrade.

Spear crafting requirements[]

  • 3x Hardwood
  • 2x Flint
  • 2x Animal Hide

Stats[]

The fully-upgraded Spear's stats are:

  • Damage 6
  • Durability 7
  • Agility 6
Special[]
  • Highest damage when thrown.
Pros[]
  • Kills Udam warriors, both Udam and Izila civilians instantly.
  • 1 head shot on most animals kills them.
  • Any hit on Udam and Izila warriors and civilias kills them instantly when thrown.
  • Able to preform Takedowns.
  • Can be picked up after being thrown.
Cons[]
  • Does not instantly kill Chieftains or animals like Tall Elk, Mammoths and Rhinos with more than 3 to 5 spears.
  • Fire spears does only damage the animals with the spears hit, the fire is more useless to bigger animals, especially Mammoths and Rhinos.
  • Only capable to carry maximum of 6 spears.
  • Not able to preform Takedowns on Chieftains.

Bait[]

Bait crafting requirements[]

  • x2 Meat

Stats[]

The fully-upgraded Bait's stats are:

Current[]
  • Throw bait to attract nearby animals. However unlike in Far Cry 4, not every time a predator will appear.
Special[]
  • Predators attracted by bait can be tamed (requires taming skill).

Pros:

  • Attracts nearby predators.
  • Attracts attacking predators.
Cons[]
  • Sometimes taming does not work, the predators will then attack you after they eat the bait.
  • Can't be picked up if no predators are attracted.
  • Uses meat that are able to heal you and your beast with.

Trap[]

Trap crafting requirements[]

  • x2 Hardwood

Stats[]

The fully-upgraded Trap's stats are:

  • These concealed traps to surprise enemies and keep predators at bay.
Special[]
  • Does powerful damage on bigger animals.
Pros[]
  • Able to instantly kill a Chieftain.
  • The traps will not kill you.
  • Wounds bigger animals.
Cons[]
  • Does not instantly kill or wound Mammoths, Rhinos and Tall Elks.
  • Very situational.

Shards[]

Stone Shard[]

Shard crafting requirements[]

  • x1 Flint
  • x1 Animal Hide

Stats[]

The fully-upgraded Stone Shard's stats are:

Current[]
  • Stone shards are thrown to damage enemies, headshots instantly kills regular humans.
Special[]
  • They can penetrate most enemy masks.

Berserker Shard[]

Ammo crafting requirements[]

  • x1 Flint
  • x1 North Yellow Leaf

Stats[]

The fully-upgraded Berserk Shard's stats are:

Current[]
  • Does little Damage on humans.
Special[]
  • Drives enemies insane.
Pros[]
  • Able to drive enemies insane and attack their own allies. This also causes the other hostile enemies to attack them as 1st priority as they are seen as traitors.
  • Thrown at attacking animals with drive them insane, however it makes them flee and not attack other animals.
Cons[]
  • Affected enemies can still attack you if you are seen.
  • Sometimes charging Rhinos and Mammoths do not flee.

Bone Shard[]

  • x1 Bone.

Stats[]

The fully-upgraded Bone Shard's stats are:

  • Bone shards are thrown to damage enemies, headshots instantly kills regular humans.
Special[]
  • They can penetrate most enemy masks.
Pros[]
  • Cheaper to craft than stone shards.

Bombs[]

Bee Bombs[]

Ammo crafting requirements[]

  • x1 Bee Cluster

Stats[]

The fully-upgraded Sting Bomb's stats are:

  • Leather bags filled with angry bees.
Special[]
  • Angry bees are stings and kills.
Pros[]
  • Able to kill any regular human.
Cons[]
  • Does not kill Chieftains or animals.
  • If too close, they will attack you as well.

Berserker Bomb[]

  • x2 North Yellow Leaf
  • x1 Clay Pot

Stats[]

Special[]
  • Drives any AI insane.
Pros[]
  • Able to drive enemies insane and attack their own allies. This also causes the other hostile enemies to attack them as 1st priority as they are seen as traitors.
  • Thrown at attacking animals with drive them insane, however it makes them flee and not attacking other animals.
Cons[]
  • Affected enemies can still attack you if you are seen.
  • Sometimes charging Rhinos and Mammoths do not flee.
  • If thrown too close at you, you will be poisoned for about 15 seconds.

Fire Bomb[]

Fire bomb crafting requirements[]

  • x2 Animal Fat
  • x1 Clay Pot

Stats[]

Special[]
  • Fire bombs are thrown and shatter on impact, igniting humans and animals.
Pros[]
  • Able to set large areas on fire.
  • Able to be used in "Surprise Takedown".
  • Works like Molotov's.
  • Scares almost any animals.
  • Wounds animals.
Cons[]
  • Can set you on fire, if you are too close to the ignition.
  • Doesn't scare or instantly kills Mammoths or Rhinos.
