Far Cry is a franchise based on first-person video games, published by Crytek and Ubisoft. The series is known for its open world gameplay, stealth oriented combat, and exotic, wilderness settings.

Title(s):	The are currently thirteen total games in the series, including six major titles, Far Cry, Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4. Far Cry 5, and Far Cry 6, one standalone expansion to Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, and six spin-off games, Far Cry Instincts, Far Cry Instincts: Evolution, Far Cry Instincts: Predator, Far Cry Vengeance, Far Cry Primal, and Far Cry New Dawn. The games can be played on several platforms, including Microsoft Windows (PC), Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo Wii.

Description:	The Far Cry series is a franchise of first-person shooter computer and video games. Within the series, the player usually controls a character who is placed into diverse lands, such as tropical islands, African plains, and the Himalayan mountains. The character has a large rely on survival instincts, such as killing and skinning animals, liberating areas of the land, and has a large variety of weapons, vehicles, and equipment. Many missions offered by other characters are set for completion with a linear story. The games are usually open-world and allows the character to do other missions, including assassinations, races, and much more when not doing a main mission.

The open world aspects and online (excluding co-op) have a seamless indefinite playthrough and no fixed endings.
Difficulty:	Many difficulty modes appear in the games and are determinant, usually depending on the player's skill and experience in the genre. Some of these difficulty modes that are able to be chosen includes easy, normal, hard, and an exclusive harder mode; these modes increase enemy intelligence and damage the player takes the higher the difficulty. The games also include complicated controls that require memorization of various button commands.

Online Multiplayer:	Yes, various titles features team-based player-versus-player modes that can support up to 16 players. Far Cry 3 included a 4 player cooperative campaign that is currently unplayable due to the shuttering of its servers. Far Cry 4, Far Cry 5, Far Cry New Dawn, and Far Cry 6 allow for two player coop in the same open world featured in single-player modes.
