Doppler Effect
Simulates the real-life phenomenon in which the frequency of a sound changes in respect to the position of its source relative to the hearer's position. For instance, as a vehicle approaches the player, the player hears a sound of a higher frequency (i.e. higher pitch). As soon as the vehicle goes past the player and moves away from him, the sound is heard at a lower frequency.
