Far Cry 3[]

Signature Weapons are special versions of existing weapons in Far Cry 3 with a unique name, upgraded specs, and even custom paint jobs. They usually cost more than their base versions.

  • AMRZ93 with extended magazine, high powered scope, "explosive" rounds and custom (Fire) paint. Available after finding 20 Relics and costs $4800 to buy it. The description states it fires explosive rounds, which is a bit misleading. The bullets themselves have zero splash damage, but instead it just does a massive amount of damage, enough to set most vehicles on fire or outright blow them up in a single shot. (Sniper Rifle)
  • BullM133 with reflex sight, extended magazine and custom (Dry Lands) paint. Available after finding 10 Relics and costs $3010 to buy it. (Shotgun)
  • BushmanP416 with marksman scope, extended magazine, suppressor and custom (Dry Lands) paint. Available after deactivating all 18 Radio Towers and costs $3800 to buy it. (Assault Rifle)
  • Cannon.44 Magnum with extended barrel, optical sight, 6 round cylinder and custom (faded copper-gold) paint. Unlocked via Uplay and costs $2790 to buy it. (Handgun — Revolver)
  • Japanese Tanto — Custom Machete with double the damage of the normal variant, effectively killing most enemies with single slash. Available after finding 6 Letters of the Lost.
  • RipperMKG with optical scope, extended magazine, and custom (Fire) paint. Available after 6 Trials of the Rakyat and costs $4200 to buy it. (LMG)
  • Shadow1911 with red dot sight, extended magazine, suppressor and custom (Black) paint. Available after liberating 17 Outposts and costs $2600 to buy it. (Pistol — Semi-automatic)
  • ShredderVector .45 ACP with optical scope, suppressor, extended magazine and custom (Fire) paint. Available after finding 10 Memory Cards and costs $3275 to buy it. (SMG)
  • Tribal Knife — Custom Machete. Acquired by pre-ordering Far Cry 3 or by purchasing the compilation DLC, and comes with purchasing Far Cry 3 Classic Edition. Can be bought as part of Far Cry 5 Season Pass on Steam. (Unadvertised, and might only work WITHOUT ownership of base game beforehand. Might work on Ubisoft Connect, but needs testing.)

There are no Signature Weapons for the Launcher and Special categories.

Acquisition[]

Signature weapons are usually unlocked by completing certain objectives. After unlocking the weapon, they may be purchased from the store or any self-service weapon locker. Liberating Radio Towers cannot earn you free Signature Weapons, but liberating all 18 Radio Towers will unlock the Bushman for purchase. Check the individual weapon pages for instructions on acquiring each weapon.

Far Cry 4[]

A little-known fact is that with the addition of a co-op mode, Signature Weapons can be dropped on the ground and kept by your partner if they pick the gun up and go to a store. It will be unlocked forever for them, even when they leave the game. This can be done with all weapons, not just signature ones. However, signature weapons added by DLC such as the Sandman, Driller, Elephant Rifle, etc, cannot be kept and will be lost after they leave. Regardless, this is a great way to give friends a huge advantage early on in the game, especially with the more overpowered weapons, such as the Bushman, Buzzsaw, SA-50, LK-1018, Auto-Cross, etc.

  • 871887 with sawn-off barrel and reflex sight. Available after collecting 4 Mohan Ghale's journal entries. This is a "must have" early game signature weapon and can even kill Rhinos with 3-4 shots. Its short range is offset by a reasonably good scatter pattern allowing multiple kills on attacking packs of wildlife once a user becomes familiar with it. (Due to its small size, the 87 is a sidearm so it can be used whilst driving).
  • AMRZ93 with extended magazine and advanced scope. Available after liberating 23 of the 24 outposts. As its name implies, the anti-material rifle is capable of punching through thick volumes of metals and will easily neutralize enemies with a single round - including heavily armored soldiers. However this power comes at a cost of having no suppressor, and giving damaged skin if used on an animal. It will blow up most, if not all vehicles in the game with a single shot, making it a great weapon for long-range assaulting.
  • BullM133 shotgun with extended magazine, reflex sight and sound suppressor. Available after completing 2 Bomb Defusing quests. It is a fantastic stealth weapon and a massive upgrade from the Far Cry 3 version, making it a must-have even for the end game, as one of the best guns in the entire game. It has unmatched close range power and will kill every enemy except heavies with a single shot to the body, even at longer ranges. Once unlocked, it is a go-to weapon for stealth. It is also great for hunting rhinos, bears, tigers and other strong animals.
  • BushmanP416 with marksman sight, extended magazine and sound suppressor. Available after reaching rank 10 in the Shanath Arena. One of the best assault class weapons in the game, plus its ammo pool is very easy to replenish, considering that the majority of human enemies in Kyrat use the same cartridge type. It used to be easily unlocked through the Arena App, but that was shut down years ago. Because of how difficult and time-consuming it is to unlock the Bushman, many players will never try to get it. However, it is a well-earned weapon that is second to none at stealth.
  • Buzzsaw — MG42 with an 400-round magazine and optical sight. Available after liberating 17 bell towers. The Buzzsaw is completely overpowered and breaks the game, ruining all sense of balance and challenge. With a massive ammo capacity and almost zero recoil, and fast reloads, anything and everything can be almost instantly killed in only a few bullets. It is very fun to go on a rampage with, but it is not reccomended for people looking for a challenge.
  • Cannon.44 Magnum with extended barrel and optical sight. Available after completing 5 Hostage Rescue quests. Dealing the same damage as the D50, it is more accurate and reloads slightly slower. It is great for long range, akin to a "pocket sniper". Even at the end game, it is a very formidable sidearm and can take down most enemies easily.
  • Driller — PKM with extended magazine and optical sight. Pre-order bonus and available with the season pass. Arguably better than the Ripper due to less recoil, but comes at the downside of being a paid weapon. However, as with the Ripper, it is outclassed by the MG42 and Buzzsaw.
  • Elephant Gun — Signature version of the .700 Nitro. Available as a pre-order bonus and can be unlocked with the season pass. While unable to use any optical attachments, it is by far the the most damaging firearm in the entire game, only beaten out by the AMR. While only holding two shots, it is utterly devastating and will put down anything with ease.
  • HS77 — M-712 with optical sight, sound suppressor, and extended magazine. Available after completing 2 Hunting: Control quests. It is a decent stealth pistol, but it is outclassed by the Sandman and Auto-Cross.
  • Harpoon Gun Also called the Impaler, it's a joke-like but powerful special weapon that shoots harpoons, which kill most enemies in one hit. Available with "Hurk's Redemption" DLC. However, reloads are very slow and it is very innacurate, making it nearly useless unless at point-blank range. However, it is great for killing rhinos and bears.
  • Predator — M-700 with extended magazine, advanced scope and sound suppressor. Available after completing 4 Armed Escort quests. The weapon was previously a DLC only weapon in Far Cry 3, and now it has the Predator paint job from that game. Strangely, it doesn't deal any extra damage compared to the base M-700. As such, it is bugged like the Trooper and is only notable for the attachments and paint scheme.
  • Rebel — A99 with extended magazine and red dot sight. Available after liberating 10 outposts. Uses pistol rounds so ammo drains quickly, even with extended magazine. As such, it will be expensive to use.
  • RipperMKG with 200 round magazine and marksman sight. Available after conquering all 4 fortresses. A great end game weapon, though immediately outclassed by the MG42 and Buzzsaw.
  • Sandman1911 with a sound suppressor and reflex sight. Pre-order bonus and can still be acquired through purchase of the Season Pass. It is actually the Shadow from Far Cry 3, albiet with a different name, paint scheme and less accuracy.
  • ShredderVector with extended magazine, optical sight and suppressor. Available after reaching Karma level 6. It is only a minor upgrade compared to the regular Vector, as the BZ19 does more damage than the Shredder while having more ammo.
  • Sixer — Mark IV with red dot sight. Available after visiting the first store. Quickly outclassed by any other handgun, it is borderline useless and a joke weapon at best or for players looking for an extreme challenge.
  • Stinger — Skorpion with extended magazine, optical scope and sound suppressor. Available after destroying 2 Pagan's Wrath convoys. It is great for stealth early on, and even late game, it still proves useful when aiming for the head.
  • Stormer — MP34 with extended magazine and red dot sight. Available after removing 1 propaganda poster. With a large magazine and a low fire rate, recoil is kept very low, making the Stormer a great, cheap-to-run SMG until the BZ19 is unlocked.

  • Trooper — MS16 with extended magazine, marksman sight and sound suppressor. Available after removing 20 Masks of Yalung. Surprisingly, it has no stat boosts, and is only remarkable because it has a marksman scope, which the normal MS16 cannot equip. Available after collecting 20 masks of Yalung. However, it is a great mid-game stealth weapon when used as a dedicated headshot weapon. It is quickly outclassed by the SA-50 once that becomes available, however.
  • Warrior — AK-47 with an extended magazine, red dot sight and sound suppressor. Available after hijacking 2 Royal cargo trucks. A good weapon for most of the game, essentially being a slightly weaker Bushman.
