Fortresses are locations within Kyrat in Far Cry 4.
Four fortresses exist in the game, and are considered dangerous grounds to venture on if not armed properly.
The four fortresses are:
- Varshakot, Paul De Pleur's fortress.
- Baghadur, Noore's fortress.
- Ratu Gadhi, Yuma's fortress
- Rajgad Gulag, Pagan Min's fortress.
The Royal Fortress is also a fortress in the game. Most of these locations have huge mine fields either in front or inside the fortress. Snipers should be treated with caution, because they are abundant, especially within Yuma's and Pagan's fortresses.
A fortresses defense will be weakened after Ajay confronts its respective owner. A message on the minimap will let player know when a fortress has been weakened.
Once liberated, fortresses become fast travel locations, just like outposts, and each fortress contains a Buzzer.
