The G11 assault rifle was a cut weapon from Far Cry.

Overview

The G11 was a German prototype assault rifle developed the late 20th century. It was a assault rilfe designed to meet the German military's need for a new and more effective infantry weapon, particularly it's was planned for individual combat system project called: IKARUS. The G11 was innovative because the weapon uses a careless ammunition system, which eliminated the need for metal cartridge cases and thus reduced weight and allowed for more efficient storage of ammo. It has a small bayonet that can be used to attack enemies.

Trivia

• The weapon appeared on E3 2002 version of Far Cry during his development.
• The G11 weapon as well as the NTW-20, Barrett M82, Suppressed Desert Eagle, Handheld Mortar and the mounted Browning M2 MG were among the weapons that were cut from the game's release, but there are files for the weapon models.
