There is little information about Mariano because he made his appearance only in one episode, during the moment when Anton Castillo was preparing the defense for Esperanza on the Torre del León. Mariano will try to persuade Anton Castillo at least to save Diego his son and Yara's future, but all his attempts will fail.
Biography[]
General Mariano was a General of the FND. Prior to the Battle of Esperanza, he appeared in a meeting with Anton Castillo, Diego and an architect. Mariano was very worried about Anton Castillo's safety, and recommended evacuating the capital via boat. Anton Castillo, however, ordered Mariano to stop speaking.

- General Mariano is a lower rank General compared to his colleagues, Raúl 'Old Dog' Sánchez and José Castillo. Mariano is a One-Star General (suggesting he is ethier a brigadier general or a senior colonel in some armies), as seen on his shoulder loops, while Sánchez and Castillo are both Four-Star Generals.
