In the island nation of Yara, there exists a hidden network of roads known as Guerrilla Paths. Made up by mountain trails, rainforest passages, tunnels, cliffs, the sewage system of Esperanza, as well as numerous hideouts and shelters, the Paths were built by the revolutionaries during the Revolution of 1967 to conduct guerrilla warfare against Gabriel Castillo's regime. After the Revolution, most of the Paths fell out of use, besides small sections utilized by Clara Garcia as her hideout; Legends of 67 still holds a part of the Paths in the mountains as well.
Antón Castillo's regime doesn't really aware of the existence of the Path at the time the Far Cry 6 begins, therefore it is possible for the protagonist to use the Paths for his/her advantage to combat Fuerzas Nacionales de Defensa.[1] These paths provides the player a way to move about without always having to fight, while also offering shelters to rest and resources to scrap. There is also various interesting navigational challenges and puzzles on the Path that allow the player to find interesting pieces of gear, story and lore as well.[1]The Guerrilla Paths are marked by dark blue dashed lines on the in-game map.
