The Hope County Cougars is a baseball team turned Resistance faction in Far Cry 5. Its leader is Virgil Minkler, the mayor of Hope County. It was formed by Winkler to combat Faith Seed's growing influence around the Henbane River. Their main base is the Hope County Jail.

Trivia

• The baseball team bears its name in honor of Frobisher, a particularly ferocious mountain lion that devoured the pitcher of an unknown rival team. A cave also bears Frobisher's name.
• Their concept bears similarities to the Wolverines from the 1984 movie Red Dawn.
