The McKinley Dam partly broke during or after the Collapse, which let the Moccassin River swell with water from Cedar Lake. The structure itself lies within the highly radiated and Bliss-infested northern region. Joseph Seed chose this place as his sanctuary. Gods Gift - an appletree - grew here. It strengthens what is in a persons soul and imbued the New Edeners with the strength to survive the harsh conditions after The Collapse.
