The hotel was built in 1866, and 36 years later, on May 12, 1902, half of it was destroyed in a landslide that killed 16 people whose bodies were never recovered. While the hotel was rebuilt, superstition created ghosts stories about the victims' spirits haunting the place. When the Project at Eden's Gate took possession of the hotel, some of the Cultists also subscribed to these ghosts stories and complained about eerie sounds to the dismay of their leaders.
As a Cult outpost, the hotel has eight defenders and two alarms. Liberating the hotel will net you a "1987 Pygmalion Bruelag", some cash, and 400 resistance points.
There's a locked door on the third floor with a safe, a cultist's note, a key, and a voicemail by Hurk Drubman advertising his campaign. To get inside players must use the locksmith perk or get to the roof using the ladder inside the laundry room and landing on the balcony. The key opens the door to the room itself, though.
That old hot springs hotel would make a great base of operations. It's a good defendable position, lots of sight lines and vantage points. Only downside is that it's haunted as fuck.
