Kyra is a goddess in Kyrati mythology. She is believed to be the creator of Kyrat and is the daughter of Banashur. There are many shrines dedicated to her throughout Kyrat. She plays a prominent role in Kyrati mythology and is continually mentioned by Sabal throughout the game. In Kyrati culture, a Kyrati woman is designated to be a Tarun Matara, which is believed to be Kyra's incarnation on Kyrat. There is a mission where Ajay Ghale is sent by Amita to The Sleeping Saints where the player must save the giant Kyra statues from being destroyed.
Another colossal statue of her can be found in Mahapadma Glacier.
