Last Resistance Add-on, or LR for short, is an extension to Far Cry which restores and enhances its online multiplayer functionality. It was developed by *RD*Krieger, Astaron, and Clivey for over 7 years, and since 6 October 2015 – the date Ubisoft discontinued support for the FC multiplayer – it has been the only way to play the online multiplayer.
The current version is LRv3.

FarCry Loader[]
The LR Team introduced FarCry Loader which is a program that allows to launch a desired version of the add-on or the original game itself.

The main game menu has been updated and streamlined. The "Campaign" button has been removed as the singleplayer mode is not available within the LR.

Multiplayer[]
The LRv3 Multiplayer menu offers different server lists, easy to use filters, map downloads, server and player counters, server registration options and the possibility to connect over IP port addresses.
Internet (LR) Server List[]
LR provides a simple and fully up-to-date game server list where all available game servers can be found.
ServerInfo Panel[]
After connecting to a game server, a window opens that shows detailed information about the server’s configuration, the current and the next map on the server and the players/bots currently playing on the server.
Automatic Map Download[]
Before LR, maps had to be downloaded manually from websites. LR allows the player to automatically download and install maps while in the game. The program detects a missing map while a map is being changed on a server and offers to fill in the gap. The LR mapspace hosts more than 780 multiplayer maps and is being regularly added to.
Map Downloads Panel[]
A list of all the available maps from any of the LR mapspaces located in Germany and Czech Republic. They can be easily downloaded and installed while in the game.

Most of the settings inside the Options menu are vanilla Far Cry, but LR has changed some of them.

Auto-Updater[]
User Panel[]
LR has improved the User Panel known from Patch 1.6 and previous versions of LR. It allows the player to to easily vote for specific maps, restart maps, kick players or set the amount and difficulty level of bots. It also provides a quick access to a great variety of different types and colors of crosshairs.
