The P226 is a sidearm that becomes available for purchase in shops after reaching level 2 on the resistance meter in any region. It does one less point damage than the 1911 (although a single headshot will kill normal enemies even on Hard Difficulty) but makes up for it with one more point in handling and two more rounds in the magazine (10 as default, 12 as extended). Whether said trade-off is worth it is up to player preference. No enemies in game carry this weapon nor can it be found lying around in the game world.
The P226 "Amendment 2" is the Prestige version of the P226. IT can fit the same attachments as the regular P226 but it's paint job cannot be changed due to being a Prestige weapon.
Trivia[]
- The P226 is a real weapon made by the Swiss company SIG-Sauer.[1]
- The in game weapon has a 10 round magazine with a 12 round extended magazine. In real life the P226 has a 15 round magazine as standard, with 10 round magazines being available in localities with magazine capacity restrictions (such as Canada, where the game developer Ubisoft Montreal is based). A 12 round magazine would be correct for the .40 Smith & Wesson variant of the P226, however the inscription on the barrel of the P226 indicates it's chambered in 9mm.
