"Prologue" is the first mission of Act One and the first story mission of Far Cry 4.
Synopsis[]
The story begins at the opening scene, where Ajay Ghale is travelling to Kyrat with Darpan on a bus to fulfill his mothers final wish of spreading her ashes in Lakshmana,The player can also hear dialogue from one of the US foreign affairs employees giving him a recap of the path of his travel as well as advising him against travelling to Kyrat as there is no official US presence in the country due to the ongoing civil war, when the bus arrives at a checkpoint the Royal Army started searching the bus but later a fight breaks out as multiple Golden Path members are present on the bus, they are eventually overpowered and killed as well as the other civilians on the bus, Ajay and Darpan survive by escaping from the back of the bus.
Pagan Min arrives, killing the border guard commander out of rage for disobeying his order to stop the bus and meeting Ajay. On De Pleur's Compound, Ajay were being stuck in conversation with Pagan as he introduces himself and talks about his history but the discussion is interrupted as he discovered Darpan texting Sabal. Pagan stabbed Darpan and then orders two soldiers to drag him to the torture chamber, requesting Ajay to stay, he can be heard talking to Yuma about the situation.
After escaping the compound, crashing down the mountain and making his way to the bell tower, Ajay finds himself fighting along the Golden Path in an effort to hold off the Royal Army forces, the fight is cut short after an avalanche happens burring everyone under the snow.
Sabal unburies Ajay on the snow. He was with Sabal later on going to Banapur. They were welcomed by Amita and Bhadra, the former mocked Sabal's decision of taking Ajay instead of rescuing Darpan.
Gameplay[]
If Ajay chose to leave, he must find a way out of the compound. On the way out, he saw De Pleur torturing Darpan. Opening the door, Ajay saw Sabal, following him, and riding the Golden Path vehicle, dodging bullets while sprinting to the car.
While a Golden Path member drives, he was tasked to get the SMG in the dashboard, shooting Royal Army units, until a Royal Army pickup collided with the car, throwing it to the ravine, killing the driver.
Surviving the fall, Ajay took the dead member's kukri and radio, then either dodged or took down the Royal Army search parties, following Sabal's instructions of going to the tower. On a village, he either silently or loudly eliminating the Royal Army unit in there. He reached to a ridge, where a Golden Path drops a rope. Ajay climbed it and goes to the tower, all the while, Pagan calls him through the radio.
The Golden Path fights through Royal Army attacks until an avalanche buried them and the enemies.
Trivia[]
- If the player decides to stay at the table for a period of around 15 minutes it will trigger the alternative ending that will finish the game.
- Outside of the mansion guards from the royal army can be seen patrolling the area, no sign of the golden path at this time.
- Downstairs inside the mansion the player can find multiple notes from De Pluer, one mentions his tickets to travelling back to the US while another has some messages from his daughter Ashley.
- This is the only mission where the player can experience an avalanche in game.
