River is the sixteenth level in Far Cry.

Overview

Jack is tasked with reaching a mobile uplink in order to upload the PDA he acquired in Catacombs. This uplink is situated at the end of a river. Via boats or walking along the edges Jack progresses down the river until it takes a stop.

Here, Jack fights off mercenaries at an inoperational VTOL. Then he heads away from the river into the lush jungle. This is Jack's final confrontation with Crowe, whom has set up a defensive perimeter with many of his mercenaries to keep Jack away from the uplink. Once defeated, Jack has a short conversation with Krieger, ending with a threat that Jack is on his way. After uploading the PDA to the mobile uplink, a cutscene triggers where Valerie arrives to tell Jack about a nuclear bomb Krieger intends to use as a final switch if push comes to shove. However, Valerie plans to use it against Krieger to blow up his mutagen laboratory. The level then ends.
