Singularity's description

Singularity is a Far Cry mod created by Skript in 2014. The story of the mod is that the humanity is enslaved by Nexus – a militaristic and totalitarian dictatorship that takes control of the 80% of the world. An insurgent group called CNR (Counter Nexus Revolution) is fights against the Nexus as much as they can.

The mod is created by the same creator of Catalyst Aftermath Addon.

Summary

The events of Singularity take place in the future, where the CNR rebels are fighting against the Nexus's oppressive and totalitarian dictatorship which is in control of the entire world. A slave joins the CNR to fight against the dictatorship, but then, his wife is killed by a Nexus officer in cowboy hat, and swears revenge. Next, the rebel discovers a mystery involving Nexus, and must find out what Nexus really is.

Plot

The Beginning: Two Years Earlier

The story begins on the CNR Headquarters, the cutscene shows a CNR soldier and a medic carrying an unconscious man (The Protagonist), to a cryogenic chamber, the story shows 2 years earlier, Area 27.

In a near future, the Nexus territory on Area 27, located on South Africa. The story begins with the unnamed protagonist narrates that is was the slave for the Nexus's dictatorship, the protagonist speaks with a Slave of the Nexus that he heard rumors that the CNR will attack the Area 27, the protagonist walks a little bit into a cave over a little mountain. As he enter the cave, he discover a CNR underground clandestine shelter, the protagonist joins the CNR, and grab all the weapon and equipment as he can. After that, the cave is compromised by the Nexus soldiers, and the CNR invasion begins, mortar fire starts destroying Area 27.

The Protagonist receives a message from the radio, that the CNR captured the Nexus C-130 at airfield, as the protagonist finds a shelter, he discovers a man in the cowboy hat talking with a unknown creature through computer screen, but the door closed fastly. The protagonist founds the airfield but the plane was destroyed by the mortar fire, so the CNR sends another plane, about to land on main highway, a radio tasks him to find a keycard to open the main gate to open.

After, he finally found the keycard to open the gate, the Nexus helicopters appears, as the protagonist and CNR rebels open fires on the Nexus soldiers, after finally neutralized all the Nexus soldiers, the protagonist reach to the C-13, where his love, Angie, is waiting for him, the CNR finally rescue the other slaves and evacuate to a safe place in Indonesia.

2 Years Later: Indonesian Islands, Nexus Attack and CNR Counter Attack on Nexus Tower

Two Years Later, after the CNR invasion on the Nexus's Area 27, the protagonist wakes up on his home located on CNR's Indonesian Islands, a beautiful and safe place, the protagonist takes his breakfast, and reaches to his work, as he reaches to the office, the protagonist watch the CNR's peaceful life, fishing, talking, boats passing by, and birds singing.

As he starts to his work on his own office and typing reports on the computer, the Nexus begins attacking for all over the place killing the CNR members one by one, the protagonist founds a gun on his drawer, and open fire at Nexus soldiers, the protagonist watches all the CNR members killed, the protagonist spotted the CNR leader running to the reunion room from the Nexus soldiers, but it was already too late, the CNR Leader was killed, bleeding. As he was fighting all the Nexus soldiers, the protagonist needs to save his wife Angie, who was in danger, he helps other CNR rebels into a parking garage, and eliminated all Nexus soldiers and activated the fire sprinklers before the building collapses, as the protagonist finds Angie, she is ambushed by the same man in the cowbay hat that he saw it on Area 27, Angie get shot in the back and is killed, and the man runs away from the scene.

The protagonist shocked and horrified by that, he swears revenge against the man who killed his beloved wife, the protagonist reaches to the last floor with anger, killing Nexus soldiers in his way, the protagonist founds nothing on the last floor, as watches from window and a Nexus missile hits the office, and jumps over the window, and the explosion from gas leak throws him away from CNR base into a jungle.

Hours after the Nexus's attack and Angie's death. The protagonist wakes up from shell shock on a hole with a lot of corpses of CNR members dead, and heards gunfire above the hole, and he witnesses the Nexus soldiers killing all the CNR members, he grabs an machete, M4 and MP5SD. The protagoinst eliminates the Nexus soldiers and reaches a way out of jungle, he finds a forces of CNR rebels and Nexus forces fighting, and the protagonist helps the rebels against the Nexus, as he finally defends the CNR from Nexus, a CNR's radio message sends the CNR reinforcements to report to the Nexus training installations, as he reaches to the training installations, the CNR is ambushed by mortar fire, and the protagonist sends a reinforcements as they defending the line from Nexus.

After the defense, the protagonist reaches to the CNR's V-22 Osprey, and reaches to the Nexus Tower to attack, before they'll reach to the tower, the protagonist starts having a flashback from the man that killed Angie as your revenge and anger grows more, the CNR reached to the tower but they're hit by a Nexus missile, the protagonist wake up and fights against the Nexus soldiers to the tower, the rebel finally found an entrance through the ventilation ducts, as the man in the cowbay hat watches from the Nexus tower top floor, smoking a cigar.

Nexus Tower Infiltration

The protagonist infiltrates through the ducts from Nexus Tower, the CNR radio tries to contact with him but it was interrupted by something, and the protagonist is compromised as he watches the Nexus soldiers killing civilians and open fire, as soon as the protagonist walks through the ducts, he founds another room with dead civilians, one of them was burned corpse, and starts killing the Nexus soldiers and scientiest to reach the man that killed his wife, he opens a shelter which the room is cold, and fights against the Nexus's hazmat and workers, and enters on a research facility, before the protagonist enters on shelter he finds some explosives.

The protagonist comes face to face with invisible soldiers, and the protagonist uses his thermal vision goggles, and after the invisible soldiers have been neutralized, the protagonist enters the elevator to a dinner room, and founds a blueprints where the Nexus officers are located in the top floor, and the man in cowboy hat must be there, he reach to outside and found a service elevator to reach the office of the guy in the cowboy hat, as the founds nothing, but only Angie's ID.

And finds a elevator to reach into a top floor, the protagonist starts having a hallucination inside the elevator, where he saw himself as the man who killed his wife, and reaches to the control area and power source, where a forces of Nexus and scientists starts a shootout against the protagonist, as he found a core of installations in Nexus tower, he will need destroy by using the power source, before he enters on plasma, the protagonist deactivate the energy field, and enters on plasma taking him to buttom, as he gonna plant the explosive, he hears a female voice questioning who he is, he plant the explosive and reaches to the top floor as the tower blows apart.

The CNR's Target: Doyle Connor, Nexus's Arctic Base.

The protagonist wakes up a day later, and the Nexus tower is finally destroyed, he finds the soldiers from CNR with a V-22 Osprey and rescues him, A CNR command questions a CNR captain if there's survivors, and answers that there is one survivor from the attack and successfully destroyed the tower, and takes him to CNR base, as he is on V-22, the protagonist traumatized by the events of Indonesian Island, he begins have a vision of Angie lying on floor, bleeding and crying for help.

The protagonist receives an assassination mission ordered by the CNR, the target is Doyle Connor. The Nexus executive mastermind behind the Nexus's top secret programs, Connor is located on a Nexus's military facility located on arctic crediums, next the facility there's a outpost that which the protagonist must used a Sniper rifle to take him out, to reach the outpost, the protagonist need to breakthrough Nexus's defense lines, the facility is guarded by Nexus's elite soldiers. And If Doyle Connor is successfully assassinated, the CNR will win the revolution against the Nexus, the CNR will send a V-22 team to a extraction point one thousand miles from the outpost, the protagonist reach to a armory and grabs the sniper rifle to eliminate the Nexus Executive.

The CNR anchors the ship, and the protagonist takes the boat and neutralized all the Nexus's defenses to reach into the facility where Connor is working, before he could reach facility, the CNR's satellite tracks three Nexus's AA missile batteries, and must be destroyed before the V-22 team could reach to the extraction point, as he destroys all the AA missile batteries, the protagonist founds satellite dish, and questions what the signal the Nexus are tracking, as he finally reaches to the outpost where Connor is, he uses a Sniper Rifle, and shoots him, killing Doyle on the sight.

With the successful assassination, the protagonist reaches to the extraction point, but before he could reaches, The man in the cowboy hat appears out of nowhere in a computer room, ambushing and shooting at protagonist in the same way as Angie. And the cutscene shows where all began, the CNR takes the protagonist to a CNR Headquarters, and the protagonist unconscious on a stretcher, is taken by a CNR rebel and a medic to the to a cryogenic chamber as the soldier questions the medic if he will survive, but the doctor doesn't know, and the protagonist is putted on cryogenic chamber.

The Demons from The Sky: The Real Enemy, The Enemy Is Now Another

Seven Years Later. After the mission to assassinate Doyle Connor on ordered by CNR succeeds, the protagonist (inside on cryogenic chamber) starts having a nightmare from the events of Nexus's surprise attack in CNR base on Indonesian Island, the protagonist wakes up on his twisted dream and receives a phone call by the voice of CNR command, which he heard that the protagonist was killed seven years ago during in arctic mission, and hope that he must recover soon, but he reveals that he is dead a long time ago, as the protagonist grabs a M4 Assault Rifle on his office, he saw a lot of corpses of Angie, with guilty and sadness for not saving her, as he reaches downstairs, he fights a against two unknown monster, and killed them.

As he starts follow the same path as happen on the Nexus's attack, the protagonist finds himself on a dark room with two clones of the same man that killed his wife, and open fire against the the copies and returns to the nightmarish version of the CNR base, and the creature appears behind the desk and is killed by the protagonist, as he start reaches into the corridor with screens of Angie saying words like: "I've lost him" , "Where did he go?" and "Damn it".

The protagonist spots the CNR leader walking casually with no fear or panic, looking at his watch and walks through the room where he got killed, As soon as the protagonist enters the room, the CNR Leader turns into a monster and is killed, but Angie's nightmare versions appears and open fire against the protagonist, but they've eliminated, and appears on a dark place with rooms, as the protagonist try to open the door, a group of creatures and Angie appears, but they've killed.

He returns to the room where he killed the monster version of the CNR Leader, the creature and a nightmare version of Angie shows up, and are neutralized by the protagonist. Another phone starts to ring, and the protagonist answers and reveals to be the CNR command again, questions if is there someone on phone, but taunts him that is becoming stupid and he forgot that dead people like the protagonist don't answer the phone calls, and being dead is so popular in nowdays, and says that the demons from the sky killed everybody. He reaches to a office where a fight in a parking garage happens, but instead of CNR against the Nexus, is the the creatures and the CNR soldiers against the protagonist, but they're killed.

The protagonist look on a broken CNR's computer monitor, and plays a message from the CNR's command, and taunts the protagonist, saying that he is got killed seven years ago during his mission to assassinate Doyle Connor, and the voice of the message tells him to come back to his room stay there forever and finishing with a demonic voice saying: "GOODBYE".

He reaches to a room where Angie was ambushed by his killer, and corridor starts explodes and Angie's killer open fire against the protagonist as the man turning into a muscular monster with a rocket launcher on his arm, the protagonist finally kills the monster, and reaches to the bright light.

Waking up from his nightmare, he exits on his sleeping chamber, and walks into the CNR's Headquarters and watches the sky covered in smoke and the headquarters hallway with messages made in blood on wall saying: "They came from the sky", "The Nexus is Not Real", "Orion Shows the Way", "The Demons From The Sky", "I Saw Her, She Did It" and "She Deceived Us All". The protagonist starts eats some food as he was weak, and sleeps again, but the CNR command's voice taunts him, that he thinks he is awake, and he still dead.

He wakes up screaming for having another nightmare, and restore the power, and plays a message recorded by CNR on January 25th, 2018. The message reveals that the CNR discovers a encoded message in Nexus's computer terminals, the encoded message shows a knowledge by constellations of Orion, Taurus and Pleiades. The message came from a star HD283275, and the signal reveal a alien lifeform to attack the Earth on February 8th, 2018. The message reveals that the CNR and Nexus's defense lines will be overtaken only two weeks, and survivors must found a underground shelter, but it was interrupted by something as the protagonist hides, and shows up a flying robot ball, detecting a human signal, as she flies away,the protagonist finally exit in his hideout, blows a door with the explosives and reaches through the exit.

After he reaches outside, he spots a lot of alien creatures waiting for him, the flying robot ball shows up and recognize the protagonist, and reveals that she is the voice from the Nexus Tower that was destroyed 7 years ago, the flying ball is refered as "Her" or "She". The "Her" tells the truth to the protagonist that she created the Nexus and the CNR, all together and started the war between the Aliens, the CNR and Nexus, "Her" flies away, leaving the protagonist to be killed by the aliens, but take a CNR vehicle, and reaches to the road to another place avoiding all the creatures as he can.

The protagonist finds a destroyed building, and a static voice appears on your radio, it's the voice of the CNR members, which are tracking a different signal, and explains that other CNR survivors are in the mines, and the CNR member voice demands the player to reach, and making sure nothing is following him, as the protagonist finally satisfied to have more survivors, he reaches to the mines. The protagonist arrives on the mines, but before he could enter on the mines, he is sucked by a ray from the mothership and is teleported back to CNR Headquarters where he woke up on his cryogenic chamber, with a lot of alien creatures trying to kill him, after he neutralized all the creatures, the protagonist reach to exit, but he is teleported back to mines's entrance, he finally enters on the mines, but he discover that is was a trap, there's no CNR survivors, it "Her" who is waiting for him with his alien creatures, and the CNR survivor's voice was a bait for the protagonist, the flying ball flies away and leaves his minions to kill, the protagonist with rage and anger, kill all the creatures, and he goes to an mines's exit through the elevator, as he reaches outside, he spots a large alien mothership, and a place covered with lava, as he is approaching the mothership, the same man in the cowboy hat who killed his wife and ambushed the protagonist during his assassination mission on Doyle Connor in seven years ago, the man enters on mothership, and the protagonist question who he really is. So the protagonist enters on mothership.

The Consequences

The protagonist finally enters on mothership to search the "Her", he explores a little bit of the mothership, and founds a area with skeletons and weapons lying on floor, revealing to be the CNR and Nexus soldiers who failed to stop the "She", he enters on portal door.

The ship's alarm is triggered, and the protagonist is discovered by the alien creatures, so the protagonist kills all the monsters to reach the "Her", and the flying ball starts talking him to stop what he is doing, he reaches to a chamber with a lot of cryogenic chamber and confronts the man in cowboy hat, which he reveals to be a alien, and he was working for the alien creatures since Nexus's dictatorship, the protagonist not just fight against him, but he fights the clones of his wife, Angie, the protagonist himself and the cowboy hat guy.

After he battling the alien clones, he reaches to a generator and destroys with his M249, and the "Her" speak with to stop for what he is doing or will suffer the consequences, after fighting the invisible aliens, he enters on a room with different portal doors, the protagonist enter in one the portals, he found the "Her" speaking with the core revealing to be "The Mother", who speaking with his daughter, the "Her" explains that she can't kill the protagonist, "Mother" starts taunting the protagonist as he open fire against assistance devices, as his clones and the man of the cowboy hat.

The protagonist enters on a area with alien creatures, and founds the skeletons of the CNR and Nexus soldiers who failed to stop the "Her", the protagonist grab some C4 and plant on Mother's core, but before doing that, the flying robot ball, the "Her", shows up and explains to the protagonist that wants make a deal, and will not come back to Earth again if the rebel stop from doing that, and here takes two endings.

Refusing the Deal, Last Human (Bad/Fake Ending)

If the protagonist refuses the "Her"'s deal, the protagonist will grab another explosives from the CNR and Nexus corpses, and plants once more on the Mother's core, so then the core starts to have systems failing and the protagonist screams, the ship finally blows up in apart falling to Earth, as it shows the spirit of Angie and the protagonist walking away to the Earth.

The last scene shows the protagonist alone in a cabin with multiple wounds, which means that he self-harmed, with a TV who shows Angie's face, with a Desert Eagle .50 on his hands, and a gunfire and scream can be heard, which means that the protagonist killed himself, and the game ends.

Accepting the Deal, The World is on Peace Again (Good/Real Ending)

If the protagonist accepts her deal, he enters on a hallway area and then the "Her" shows nothing more and none other than Angie herself, in flesh and blood, alive and well. The protagonist happy with this, he apologizes his wife for not saving her. So then, Angie and him enters on the portal and back to the Earth.

The cutscene shows the CNR Headquarters where the protagonist woke up on his cryogenic chamber, all destroyed, the protagonist and Angie finally returns back home after long battle, and several years later after the alien invasion, the Earth now is in peaceful and beautiful again as it was before, the protagonist and Angie is on docks next to the CNR's destroyed building, speaking if there's another human life who survived the war, and shows the sea water risen again, and the game ends.
