Talía Benavídez is one head of Máximas Matanzas, a faction in Valle De Oro that fights the regime and protests with music created by her and her boyfriend, Paolo de la Vega. She makes up half of the musical duo as the lead rapper.

Talía was an active protestor that showed her journalist friend Clara Garcia the life of protesting and speaking out, which eventually lead to her joining the resistance group Libertad. Talía believes there is no life for her and "people like her" in America, stating freedom doesn't come in her shade, so she fights for Yara to be a better place.
At some point she was taken to María Marquessa's True Yaran Academy, and was attempted to be brainwashed and tortured. However, she was saved from the academy, and gained a deep contempt for María Marquessa.
