The Resistance is a story mission in Far Cry 5.
Walkthrough[]
Upon emerging from the bunker they were brought to after being rescued and recruited by Dutch, the Deputy is informed over radio on how they can begin building the Resistance against the Project at Eden's Gate: rescuing captured civilians, destroying cult-owned property, completing tasks and missions for locals, and especially liberating Peggy-controlled outposts across Hope County.
At present, the Deputy is focused on clearing out the cult from the island Dutch's bunker resides on to establish a base of operations from which they can spread the Resistance to the rest of Hope County by methodically rescuing captives, destroying a few shrines producing a strange mist, completing tasks Dutch assigns to them such as recruiting a captured citizen, and ultimately clearing out the cult outpost at the Ranger Station.
Once the island has been cleared of the Project's influence, Dutch sends the Deputy to inspect and repair the nearby radio tower, an act he promises is a one-time thing. Once reconnected, upon viewing the map, Dutch informs the Deputy about the cult's network of control over Hope County: the northern Whitetail Mountains are under the predatory gaze of Jacob Seed, the Henbane River to the east is watched over by Faith Seed, and the Holland Valley's homefront in the south is being terrorized by John Seed.
As the fog around the island clears away finally, the Deputy is alerted by Dutch of a broadcast emanating from Holland Valley, showing John Seed preaching about the Project with a tortured Hudson in his clutches. With the three regions open to the Deputy's discretion, Dutch makes a final recommendation to head to Fall's End .
