The Revelator is a story mission in Far Cry 5.

Objectives[]

  • REGROUP with the Resistance
  • HELP the resistance members
  • REACH the other blockade
  • DESTROY The Revelator

Plot[]

After escaping from John's clutches the first time, once they cause enough chaos in Holland Valley, Mary May comes over the radio and informs the Deputy about the cult deploying a monster of a vehicle on the roads, the Revelator, in order to combat the Resistance's growth. It needs destroying and they're the one for it. Going to the scene of a recent attack by the cult's super-truck, the Deputy rescues those members that managed to survive and leads them to investigate the site of another Resistance checkpoint further down the road. They arrive just in time to hear the blaring of the Revelator's horn approaching. With little time, the Deputy attempts to destroy the monstrous truck, the success which of is the result of immediate action or a lengthy chase across the countryside. In the immediate wake of the diesel demon's demise, Mary May radios in and expresses her utter surprise at somewhat exaggeratingly hearing the end of its rampage, then invites the Deputy to some R&r whenever they need it at the Spread Eagle.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • This mission becomes available once the RP meter is halfway to Tier II and is easily missed as it will disappear once the mission Wrath is completed and John Seed defeated.
  • A strong strategy for fighting the Revelator is to fight one massive armed vehicle with another, i.e. ride out in the Widowmaker once you get to the garage.
  • If big trucks aren't your thing, then a carefully placed sheet of remote & proximity explosives can do the trick as well, in addition to a well-placed rocket launching.
    • 3 proximity explosives in a good distance from each other’s, is enough to blow up the Revelator.
  • The writing on the Revelator itself reads as follows: "Please Rescue me from all my sins. Let me not be Derided by Fools", which is a paraphrasing of Psalms 39:8 in the Bible: "Deliver me from my transgressions. Make me not the reproach of the foolish."
