Objectives[]
- TALK to Mary May
- REACH the Grain Elevator
- FIND the key to the warehouse (optionally)
- GET INSIDE the warehouse
- TAKE CONTROL of The Widowmaker
- RAM through the roadblocks
- RETURN The Widowmaker
- PARK The Widowmaker
- TALK to Mary May
Plot[]
With their successful liberation of Fall's End from the cultists of the Eden's Gate, the Deputy goes to see Mary May at the Spread Eagle Bar, where she tells them about her father, one of the first to rise up against Joseph Seed and his followers, and his pride for his truck, the Widowmaker, which the Peggies stole from the now-dead patriarch shortly before his natural death. She asks them to go and take it back for her and for the people of Fall's End. With the truck stashed at the nearby Grain Elevator, the Deputy goes there to find the area crawling with Peggies on the lookout for any sinner looking to lift their ill-gotten goodie. Executing the plan to get rid of the interference, the Deputy unlocks the warehouse holding back the scorned fury of the Widowmaker and makes a daring escape.
Though Eden's Gate puts up a fierce defense, blocking the road back to town numerous times, the Deputy easily smashes through the roadblocks and brings the cherished truck home. In gratitude, Mary May offers to lease the iconic diesel-machine to them to continue the fight against the Seeds.
Tips & Tricks[]
- Boomer is invaluable to keeping track of the enemies here unless the player already has access to the Ultimate Hunter homeopathic.
- If going for stealth, approaching from the east is made easier due to the enemies largely congregating in the west side of the area. One can also use a zipline descending from a nearby house to reach the warehouse's skylight.
- The key to the warehouse can be found either on a table in sight of most of the enemies when unalerted or in the pockets of the cult VIP, who can be lured away & killed. If possessing the Locksmith perk, this whole part of the strategy is rendered obsolete.
- Upon escaping in the Widowmaker, the journey back to Fall's End is littered with a total of 9 roadblocks. Make good use of those grill-mounted guns, or just ram right on through.
Trivia[]
- The song that plays when the Deputy takes control of The Widowmaker is "Barracuda" by Heart.
- If the player has less than 600 Resistance Points to reach 13000 Points for the The Atonement, this mission can not be complete unless complete Wrath or The Quality of Mercy first. As the Widowmaker will not appear in the warehouse and Peggies (of this mission) also not appear as well.
