Tools of the Trade is a side story mission in Far Cry 5. It takes place in Jacob Seed's region of Whitetail Mountains at Dylan's Master Bait Shop in Widow's Creek. This is the first of three side missions that will reward the player with the second best Fishing Rod in the game, if completed. The quest giver is Skylar Kohrs. To learn how to fish, see Fishing.

Plot[]
Skylar can be found banging on Dylan's RV door, trying to get her fishing poles back. He isn't coming out, so she asks The Junior Deputy for help. She suggests destroying his stuff, laying around the RV. Shoot it up or blow it up. Scared out of his mind, Dylan throws the poles out the door. Players can grab one of the poles to use if they don't have one already. Talk to Skylar and follow her to the lake. While at the lake, the player will need to catch three trout. After doing so, talk to Skylar to complete the mission. Players will be able to start the next quest Gone Fishin'.
