Far Cry 3[]
« | A light-machinegun from Singapore that handles well and has even performance across the chart. It straddles the line between assault rifle and LMG and is also quick to reload. | » |
In-Game Description |
« | The U100 is a light machinegun from Singapore. People don’t typically picture Singapore as a gun maker — they don't even let you carry durians on the subway there, fascists — but it turns out that the U-100 is actually an impressive piece of hardware. It’s extremely light, accurate, and controllable. | » |
Appearing first in Far Cry 3, the U100 is a jack-of-all-trades light machine gun. The weapon can be purchased for $1,950, or unlocked for free after deactivating 7 Radio Towers.
Compared to its PKM counterpart, the U100 has better accuracy and its drum magazine allows for a faster reload. The drawbacks are a considerably lower magazine size (almost half that of the PKM), as well as slightly lower damage per bullet and a slightly lower rate of fire. The U100 still deals more damage than all but the highest damaging assault rifles (damage is on par with the ACE and slightly less than the MS16).
The U100 is not recommended to be used during ambushes from predatory animals as it lacks sufficient hip-firing accuracy, but if distance can be maintained its raw stopping power will make short work of larger animals.
Multi-player[]
The U100 is unlocked as part of the default Gunner class, and is immediately available for custom classes. The U100 performs in the same way it does in single player, barring modifications, and it can support up to 2 of the following attachments:
- Red Dot Sight
- Reflex Sight
- Marksman Sight
- Optical Sight (level 19)
- Muzzle Break
- Lightweight Barrel
- Steel Core Rounds
- Reduced Recoil Rounds
- Hot Rounds
- Extended magazine

Paint Jobs[]
The look of U100 could be customized with one of six available paint schemes. Each scheme costs $200 and does not affect weapon performance.
Far Cry 4[]
« | The easy-to-handle light machinegun from Singapore checks all the right boxes with its accuracy and quick reloading. | » |
In-Game Description |
Appearing again in Far Cry 4, the U100 is unlocked after completing the mission City of Pain, and is more or less identical to its Far Cry 3 incarnation. The U100 could be either bought for 80,625, or given to Ajay Ghale by Longinus for free after liberating 16 Bell Towers. Since there are just 10 Bell Towers in southern Kyrat, this require reaching northern Kyrat, specifically, require completing the mission A Key to the North. It is a drum-loaded LMG, giving it a fast reload, with the tradeoff being a lower ammunition capacity per magazine compared to a belt-fed machine gun. Compared to the MKG, the U100 has a quicker reload time, far less recoil and is less intensive on ammo due to having a slow fire rate. As such, the U100 is better for mid-long range firefights, as the very low recoil permits accurate fire at distances that the MKG simply couldn't handle. On the downside, it has a small magazine, and when upgraded with the extended magazine, it is still shy of 100 rounds, and the rather obtrusive iron sights cannot be remedied with a scope. As such, the Optical Scope is usually the best choice for the U100.
