Viviro (in test)

Viviro is an item and cancer treatment featured in Far Cry 6. President Antón Castillo believes this treatment can stabilize the Yaran economy, and funds the development of the medicine. He calls it the "Cure for Cancer". although it is just an effective treatment. It was discovered and developed by biochemist Doctor Édgar Reyes, and it is mainly produced by the company "Biovida", which is funded by Canadian investor Sean McKay.

Viviro Society

In 2014, pharmaceutical scientist and biochemist Doctor Édgar Reyes discovered the alkaloid compound Yarantine while studying the properties of Yaran tobacco. Reyes tested Yarantine's pharmaceutical properties and found out that it stopped mitosis in cancer cells. A potential cancer treatment started trials and proved successful. Reyes then named it VIVIRO, which means "keep someone alive" in Spanish. In order to produce this magical medicine faster, a fertilizer spray was developed to be used on tobacco, slated for Viviro processing, which became PG-240. Though the spray is highly toxic to humans, and can be modified into a chemical weapon, which became PG-240X. This fertilizer is transmitted by air in the plantations to infect the plants which will then be used to extract it and use it to transform it into final product. Viviro was developed by various scientists. The head and developer of the Viviro is Reyes, head of Biovida, followed by his best scientist Sergio, who is considered one of the best scientists in Biovida.

María Marquessa is the voice that sponsors Viviro and Biovida.

Viral Effects and Harvesting[]

The plants infected by the PG-240 in the first phase will have only reddish veins, typical of the Viviro. In this phase, the plants will almost never be harvested because they will still have to grow. In the second phase, the plants will be completely red and will soon be harvested. The amount of cancer-treating compound found in each plant is insignificant, meaning that in order to profit and produce it at a considerable rate, every field and plantation must be seized in order to achieve this goal. Yarans who toil in the fields and suffer from the effects of fertilizer refer to it as "The Poison".

Trivia[]

PG-240 is very flammable. If the player makes contact with the poison with any type of flammable weapons (e.g Molotovs, Incendiary Rounds, Shells and Arrows) It will also burn if the player sets the gas from El Besito on fire.
