The Volta is a Supremo item in Far Cry 6.
Description[]
« | Emit an EMP pulse to knock over enemies, disable security systems, and enable vehicle hijacking. | » |
In-game Description |
« | Don't know if you noticed but I like tinkering with shit, so this robotic superhero named Volta who could control all technology was my idol. Everything I ever wanted to be. Even more so because he had a heart of gold, which was a quality your pal Juanito never quite managed to capture. | » |
Strategy[]
-When you see a nice, brand-new FND tank rolling your way, why waste a bullet or rocket when you can jack it for yourself? This Supremo agrees wholeheartedly.
-When activating its ability, El Impulso, it emits a powerful EMP wave in a wide area around the epicenter which serves to knock back on-foot enemies, short-circuit vehicle controls and force any occupants to exit, and even destroys the alarm boxes in Outposts stopping enemies from using them. The duration of the vehicle disabling is presented by a blue meter above the icon in the bottom-right HUD, letting you know when you can hop in yourself.
-Compared to its similar Resolver counterpart Zeusito, it has greater AOE capacity, able to affect multiple vehicles at once, but lacks the weapon's range, meaning if you're aiming to take down a helicopter with this one, you'd better have a tall hill or climbable building nearby to get close before firing.
Location[]
Complete Libertad Rises to purchase from Juan for Depleted Uranium.
Trivia[]
- "Volta" is the feminine counterpart of "Voltio" in Spanish which translates to "volt" as in "volt of electricity".
- Humorously, the in-game description mentions an "EMP pulse" even though the acronymic P stands for "pulse", making it an "Electro Magnetic Pulse pulse".
